The short version: cancel whenever you like, from your own profile page, in one click. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.
Cancelling
Open your profile page and cancel there. It takes effect immediately, in the sense that nothing further will be charged — there is no confirmation call, no email you have to send, and no series of screens asking you to reconsider.
What cancelling does: it stops the next renewal. Your subscription continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and your usage allowance stays available until then. Your saved lessons stay in your library, and replaying one streams back what we saved instead of generating a new lesson.
You can resubscribe later at whatever the price is then. If you want the account gone as well, see “Deleting your account” below — that path ends your access immediately rather than at the end of the period.
Refunds
We refund in these situations, without argument:
- Claryfied wasn't usable for a meaningful stretch of your paid period — lessons repeatedly failed to generate, narration wouldn't play, or the service was down — and we couldn't put it right in reasonable time. Our first fix is to give the time back: we extend your access, or credit your usage allowance, for the period you lost. We refund that part of the period in cash only where the failure was major and prolonged, or where your local consumer law requires it.
- You were charged after cancelling, or charged twice, or charged an amount that doesn't match the plan you chose.
- A child subscribed without a parent or guardian's actual permission. Tell us and we will close the account and refund the unused part of the period. Usage already consumed is not refunded, except where your local consumer law requires more.
- We removed something you were paying for and it materially reduces what the plan gives you. We refund the unused part of your period.
Where none of the refund cases above apply — you subscribed, used the lessons, and simply want to stop — cancelling ends the billing and your access runs to the end of the period. We don't refund a period you've used, and cancelling partway through doesn't earn a partial refund, except where your local law says otherwise.
Your consumer rights
Consumer law in the United States, Canada, Australia and elsewhere gives you rights we cannot contract away, including remedies where a service isn't as described or isn't of acceptable quality — Australia's consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are a notable example. Nothing in this policy limits them. If your local law gives you a better outcome than what is written here, your local law applies.
How the money actually moves
Dodo Payments is our merchant of record and is the seller on your receipt, which means refunds are issued through them.
You ask us — support@claryfied.com — and we arrange it. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Approved refunds are issued within 5–10 working days. How long they then take to appear after that depends on your bank or card issuer — often another few working days, occasionally a full billing cycle.
Because our merchant of record collected the tax, they refund it together with the payment, where the tax rules of your country allow.
Before you raise a chargeback
Write to support@claryfied.com first. A chargeback takes weeks, costs us a fee whatever the outcome, and usually results in the account being suspended while the bank investigates — where an email tends to get the money back the same week. If we have taken money we shouldn't have, we will refund it. We have never found that worth fighting about.
Deleting your account
Deleting your account cancels your subscription as part of the deletion, so nothing further is charged. It is not the same as cancelling, though: cancelling leaves your access running to the end of the period you have paid for, while deleting takes the account with it straight away — you give up whatever is left of that period, and the lessons in your library are erased with it. That cannot be undone.
Deletion does not by itself trigger a refund. If you want both your money back and your account gone, ask for the refund first at support@claryfied.com, and delete the account once it has been settled — once the account is gone we have no billing history of yours to check a claim against.
